In Albacete,
Archaeological Museum
Antonio Escario with José Antonio Vidal and José Vives,
Located in the Abelardo Sanchez Park.
1968-1973
A central park surrounded by large trees, the building is an exercise in organic adaptation to the site and to nature.
Its volume articulates and unravels in relation to the trees and at the entrance there is a beautiful dialogue of trees, space, movement…
The collection on display is extremely rich: from the Iberian world to the Roman, Arab and Christian worlds… The interior space is attractive in its continuity, but perhaps it would require a more particular, enclosed setting in order to approach some of the pieces.
