Last October 15th, architect Josep Lluís Mateo participated in the second edition of the debate series “Converses Desenfadades”, organised by ARQUIN-FAD at the emblematic restaurant Il Giardinetto in Barcelona. This event aims to create spaces for relaxed dialogue among professionals from diverse disciplines such as architecture, interior design and the visual arts.
In its ninth session, the evening brought together Josep Lluís Mateo, founder of Mateo Arquitectura, and architect Arnau Pascual, co-founder of Pensi Pascual studio. Their exchange unfolded around the thought-provoking word: “concept?” — a question that opened the door to multiple interpretations and reflections.
With participants from different backgrounds and generations, the conversation evolved in an informal, intimate setting, encouraging the exchange of ideas and professional experiences. The evening concluded with a shared dinner among attendees and speakers, extending the debate beyond the stage and into the warmth of the table.
