La Casa de la Arquitectura aspires to become a national and international reference for the dissemination of architecture, urbanism and landscape architecture in Spain. We are excited to see the firm’s practice doubly represented.
On the one hand, the recently inaugurated museum debuts with the exhibition entitled “The Construction of a Country”, curated by Moisés Puente, presenting a tour of more than 65 models of buildings constructed in Spain by Spanish architects from the transition to the present day. Among the selection of works we find the model of the Badalona Courts built by mateoarquitectura in 1999.
Although it is not intended to show an exhaustive collection of everything that has been built in the country, it does focus on those works that have marked the recent history of Spanish architecture, both for the quality and uniqueness of its proposal and for the legacy it has left in other works and in later generations.
In addition, the digital platform of La Casa de la Arquitectura includes Josep Lluís Mateo‘s profile among the most notorious professionals and the following selection of emblematic works: Filmoteca de Catalunya, Barcelona International Convention Center, Pensioners’ and Retirees’ Home, Central Building for Sports Facilities, Sant Feliu de Guíxols Courts, Joan Güell Multifunctional Complex, Urban development of Ullastret and Institute of Professional training La Bastida.
We invite you to explore the site that not only pays homage to Spain’s rich architectural past, but also brings together talent and vision for the future.
