On November 25th, the exhibition “OBRA OBERTA” will be inaugurated at the COAC (Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya), dedicated to the work of architect Josep Lluís Mateo. Curated by María Figueras and Cristina Marcos (ACTO studio), the exhibition invites us to rethink the architectural act as a practice in constant transition, where the physical and the conceptual intertwine through processes, representations, and contexts.

The exhibition offers a journey through more than four decades of architectural practice, from early sketches to models, collages, documents, and personal reflections.

The proposal reveals Mateo’s creative process as an open-ended journey, in constant transformation, one that transcends the technical to delve into the poetic, the intellectual, and the material.

The exhibition will be open to the public until 22 February 2026 and will be complemented by side events including guided tours, talks with the author and a publication.
